What about snow days?

If Independence Public Schools are closed due to weather, we will be closed also. We will make up a max of 2 sessions.

What to Expect:

When are classes?

Classes are offered in three-week sessions with 2 classes per week in two time slots:

Tuesday/Thursday: 5:00-5:40 pm

Tuesday/Thursday: 5:45-6:25 pm

Tuesday/Thursday: 6:30-7:10 pm

Where will we be?

All classes are taught at the Henley Aquatic Center located at Bridger Middle School.

Straight into the deep end?

Levels 1 through 3 are taught in the shallowest end of the pool. While levels 4 through 6 are taught in open lanes / deeper water.

Where will the parents be?

Parents are allowed to be in the pool with their children if they would like, but this is not required. There are bleaches on either end of the pool for parents to sit at.

What to Expect after Sign-Up:

What will class look like first day?

Check-in will be with a manager by name or email, so please allow time for this when arriving your first day. After that you will meet in the pool where you will meet our coaches and instructors.

What to wear?

Appropriate; fitting swimwear that your swimmer feels comfortable in.

What to bring?

Noseless Goggles are preferred, but not required, for swimmers in levels 3 and below. Swimmers level 4 and above are strongly encouraged to have noseless goggles. All other equipment will be provided by Riptide Swim School.

Are there lockers?

There are lockers available for swimmer use, but swimmers must supply their own locks, and empty the locker out after class each day.
